Maximizing the Benefits of the Face Treatments
Less is More: When it comes to applying any serums or moisturizers, a few tiny drops are usually enough to cover the entire face and neck. Applying too much can leave your skin feeling oily or greasy. Oilier skin types should begin with a thin layer at night. Dry skin types can begin with a thin layer twice a day.
Use at Night: While you can use moisturizers/oils both morning and night, many people prefer using them at night. This gives it plenty of time to sink into the skin without interference from the makeup or other daytime products.
Store Correctly: Keep your moisturizers/oils, etc., out of direct sunlight and in a cool place, dry place; many keep them in the fridge (small cosmetic fridge) to prolong shelf life and maintain its efficacy. It also gives a welcomed cooling effect during hot summer months.
Patch Test Your Products: It is always a good idea to test your new products on your skin, somewhere other than your face, to ensure it doesn't irritate your skin or cause an allergic reaction. Many of our products use natural botanicals (like dried chamomile, calendula flowers and seaweeds/algae) and you may have an allergic reaction to these if you already have allergies to certain flowers, etc.
Our products are designed to quickly absorb, penetrate the deep level skin cells and help cleanse, rejuvenate, repair and heal the skin.
We are NOT like store-bought products using fillers, bonding agents, synthetics like silicone. Our products do not coat nor cover the skin, with the exception of our SPF 45 spray moisturizer which leaves a thin coat to protect the skin, but allows the suns rays to penetrate for Vitamin D activation.
A thin layer is all you need. DO NOT add more or reapply thinking it needs to be thicker.
Any of our products need only a thin layer and not more. It will also last longer.
Beauty routines often change based on skin types, conditions, and the season of the year, humidity, dryness, and hormones which contribute to skin needs and people who menstruate have cyclic changes. You may find you need a more occlusive or heavier oil at certain times of the year, however, even in summer months, a lighter facial oil is important to help prevent water loss from your tissues.
